sun

Mission

ART 2030 works with art as the key to achieve the UN Global Goals by opening people's hearts, minds and imagination - to inspire action for a healthy and sustainable future.

Working with world renowned artists and partners, we facilitate exciting art projects connected to the UN Global Goals - including public events, art experiences, multi-platform communication, and educational activities - for all to engage with the plan for people, planet and prosperity.

ART 2030 is a non-profit organization uniting art with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Global Goals.

Environmental Responsibility Statement

The world is facing a series of interlinked environmental crises, and the window for action is rapidly closing. We are already seeing the impacts of existing warming with devastating droughts, storms and floods across the world. Related crises include collapsing biodiversity, dangerous levels of air pollution, and plastic contamination in our rivers and oceans. Without urgent action from across society, these problems will rapidly escalate.

The art world has an important role to play. We need to act urgently to reduce these impacts in line with what science is telling us. As arts organizations, we also have an opportunity to use our public platform and cultural influence to set a positive example, encouraging and supporting others to take action and helping shift the public debate.

Believing in art's power to change mindsets and inspire change, we are actively working to advocate for climate action through our projects and support efforts to achieve of the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda and its 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development and implement climate solutions leading to net-zero Greenhouse Gas emissions no later than 2050 across the entire visual arts industry. We are also pledging to at least halve our own carbon emissions by 2030, from a 2019 baseline.

Art changes people, and people change the world.
