The world needs action

The UN has the plan

We take action

ART 2030 sets a bold vision to unite art as a game-changer for sustainable development. Our mission is to unite the universal language of art as the key to open people’s hearts, minds and imagination for the world we want.

In 2015, world leaders at the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Global Goals. They set an ambitious and transformative vision for peace and prosperity on a healthy planet and charted a course for how to get there.

ART 2030 is a movement of visionary artists and influencers in the art world, who are determined to reinstate the role for art in a bigger world context and make their contributions visible for sustainable development.

The world needs to take action

The world is experiencing massive global challenges and staggering transformations that contribute to alarming climate changes, hunger, conflicts, migration and other man-made disasters.

These transformations have an enormous influence on all of our lives, and in our hyper-connect world, the most local of developments can have substantial global effect and consequences.

There is a tremendous need to focus resources worldwide on eradicating poverty and inequality, to secure quality education, to foster responsible consumption, to urge environmental sustainability, as well as to ensure peace and justice for all generations to come.

To really create an impact we need a plan that involves people from all corners of the global society - from government leaders, decision makers, and big businesses to every single individual on the planet.

The UN have made a plan

In 2015 all 196 United Nations member states committed to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, working to meet the 17 Global Goals by 2030.

It is not just a plan - it is THE plan to save people and the planet, and to make sure that no one is left behind. This plan requires immediate action from all of us now. We must realize that we are all part of this world, and together we can change its direction.

The 17 Global Goals tackle the most important global issues by highlighting how these areas are interconnected. To achieve equality, environmental sustainability, peace and justice, we need action to eradicate poverty and hunger, to secure good worldwide health, and to guarantee quality education.
